Michael Hernandez

Michael Hernandez is no stranger to the inner workings of the music industry, with more than 14 + years of music industry experience coupled with marketing, record label promotions, publicity, media, public relations, and artist development. His extensive track record includes A&R and Marketing and Promotions for record labels such as: ATTACK RECORDS & FILMWORKS, SOS/ZOO/BMG, ID/RCA, ESCAPE, ELEKTRA, and Former Chief Executive Officer of EsNtion Records and it's subsidiaries, founded in 2003 by Michael Hernandez, with the assistance of Nathan Silver, in Chicago Illinois. This hands on experience is rare for a managing executive in the music industry. "I have seen all sides of the business. I know a hit when I hear IT and talent when I see IT. I respect, support, and encourage artists," explains Hernandez. "This approach will be a boon to both our company and our talent."

Mr. Hernandez and his experience with artist development, A&R, marketing and promotion is evident in the results of his past and present endeavors. His tenacity and desire to make a difference in the music industry can also be proven in his determination to branch out on his own, spearheading his newly launched Group of Companies.

Anytime you put good people with a broad based knowledge of today's music in a position to make both business and creative decisions, you have the potential to do great things, and that's what Mike has done. Mike looks for great things to happen on a major scale globally, spanning across the American, Latin and European markets. Mr. Hernandez is in the business of breaking up and coming talent nationally, while keeping a focus on the development of the artist or group for the major music label arena. Hernandez aims to discover new musical talent, to promote their record releases for its artists and packaging these artists' sound and image for the world. Cliff Rigano  Field Marketing/Promotions

Cliff Rigano has over 14 years of music industry experience in Retail/Lifestyle Marketing and Promotions. Cliff's broad range of experience has taken him through every aspect of the music industry. From a history of proven Product Management success for companies such as Universal Records & Concrete Music Marketing he has built successful alliances between artists and retailers who supply product to consumers. His expertise in working with high level accounts such as Def Jam, MCA Records, Universal Records and others brings a healthy weight to the core of Music Quest & Groove Pushers team's mission.

Cliff's business acumen has allowed him to contribute to the careers of some of the biggest names in music today. Some of the highlights of his business career include: 

· Working with gold and platinum artists on the day to day aspects of their album campaigns, including Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Jo Jo, Nelly, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Godsmack, Jack Johnson, Blue October, Michael McDonald, Van Morrison and many others.

Multiple appearances as keynote speaker at Berklee School of Music and New York University's Clive Davis School of Music. Other conferences he has spoken at include CMJ, Atlantis, SxSW, NxNE and many others.

Cliff will be bringing his expertise & skills and contacts to our firm, and will be responsible for some aspects of licensing and product development for Calle Music & Groove Pushers.

Hector Vargas - Sales/Promotion - Consultant/Specialty

H. Vargas  has been recognized as a leader in the Latin music explosion for many years. Also known as "DJ Little Angel", this "eclectic" disk jockey and entertainer continues to astound audiences with his unique style of music..

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the great city of Chicago, Vargas knew from an early age that his passion and dream was to be involved in music. At the age of 13, he was already experimenting with different editing and remixing techniques.

But it was while attending a listening party for some of Chicago's local artist, That a lasting impression was made . So much an impression that he decided to dedicate himself toward a career in  the music industry. 

As House Music  fever emerged out of Chicago's nightclubs, Vargas soon made his mark as co-producer and singer on two separate dance records entitled Friends  and  Dance with me tonight.

In the late 90's Vargas enhanced his skills as a dj working on Chicago's number 1 underground radio station W.C.R.X. FM, and as one of  The Magnificent 7 Remixers, audiences both near and far were treated to non stop energy every Friday night as the showed aired. 
 
Undisputed Winner of  the 11th and 12th annual battle of djs, (an intense competition featuring disk jockeys from all over the state and  sponsored by Coca Cola). DJ "Little Angel" Vargas became known as one of the No.1 club dj's in the entire city.  

Having worked at some of Chicago's biggest nightclubs including, the infamous Mothers, Eddie Rockets, The Rivera, Zero Gravity, The Drink and a host of others.

With V.I.P. Chicago DJ Vargas was afforded the opportunity to promote and work with some of the most talented musicians in the industry, and w ith over 15 years behind the "wheels of steel" (the turntable decks). audiences continue to be captivated with his unique ability of creating seamless blends between completely different genres of music. Salsa, Merengue, Pop. Rock. Dance, Reggaeton and Hip-Hop are all featured during his energetic sets. 

He is also supervisor of the V.I.P. street team, creating product awareness with nightclub and city wide events throughout the year.  With Vargas at the helm of V.I.P. CHICAGO has now entered the field of audio visual technology, setting up projections systems and sound boards for every occasion, and as an audio visual technician and "DJ extraordinaire" he is currently found performing regularly throughout The City Of Chicago and abroad. 
 
Also, thanks to Hector's continuing affliiation with V.I.P Chicago, all of our roster of artists are receiving state of the art representation, creating product awareness with nightclubs throughout the world.
 
Hector will be directly involved with ALL aspects of promotions including; Sales, Marketing and Street Promotions.

Future Promotions
  • Calle Music is currently assembling street teams to take advantage of any club, and radio, play. The street teams will be given posters, merchandise, and access to clubs to push its roster of artists. Also, we are currently working on a series of artists related contests to help increase our market presence.
     
  • Calle Music now services record pools in the US & UK with pre-release CD singles and promotional DVD's. It is our goal to have at least one artist on the pool charts every week of every year.
