It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Mike Hernandez. I have know Mike since 1994 and have worked closely with him in my former capacity as head of business affairs at SOS Records, as present counsel to ID Records, and as partner in Escape Entertainment. Throughout this time Mike has never ceased to amaze me with his ability to find talent.
Infact, it would be fair to say that more than a few hits, some of which have earned gold and platinum records both domestic and foreign, are directly attributable to the efforts and the ears of Mike Hernandez.
In addition, Mike has strong contacts in the Latin, Dance and Urban scene, and has used his resources with labels and others for Escape Entertainment. Mike Hernandez has the taste and the ears to pick both records and talent. Although I hasitate to use the cliche, Mike really does "have his ears to the street".
In addition, he is tireless, hard working, conscientious and dependable. Mike loves the record business, the people in it and the discovery of new talent and fresh sounds. He would be an asset to any record company.
